100 Million Views, What does it really take?

Whether we want to admit it or not, we’ve all over indulged when it comes to TikTok, and unless you’ve been living under a rock, chances are you’ve come across Khaby Lame’s hilarious videos.

This Senegalese-born TikTok hit, rose to online stardom by taking “Less is more” to a whole new level. He acquired this new fame by simply stitching videos of other creators coming up with meaningless “life hacks” with his witty, wordless replies. His sarcastic reactions and skits attracted the attention of millions of viewers that can’t get enough, including us!

One of Khaby’s recent videos brought in over 220 Million views and 26 million likes. The video consisted of him demonstrating how to safely exit a vehicle by looking out the window first, mocking the useless “mirror hack” shown in the video he stitched.

A 10 second response — no words, no cuts and no editing. Simplicity itself.

Users and businesses all over the world hire an entire team of marketing experts and social media specialists to boost their engagement, while a young and relatively inexperienced creator quadrupled his engagement rate by simply being himself.

With the new surge of social media influencers, it’s getting more and more common to make a name for yourself from the comfort of your own home, but to reach a level that Khaby Lame reached in such a short time with little to no expertise, it really makes you wonder… Did this 21 year-old amateur creator just crack the code to going viral?

Let us know what you think…

I feel like when you post something on social media with a context to the platform and audience + a little 'luck' + consistency, it will work.
